Cat sitting isn’t just about completing a checklist. I spend time getting to know your cat’s normal behavior so I can notice changes in appetite, litter box habits, mobility, energy or social behavior that may be worth bringing to your attention. For social cats, that might mean plenty of play and companionship. For shy or anxious cats, it may mean sitting quietly nearby and allowing trust to develop at their pace.

Senior & Medically Sensitive Cats

Older and medically sensitive cats often benefit from remaining in their own home where their environment and routine stay familiar. Care can be customized around medications, mobility needs, feeding routines and additional monitoring. If your cat has an established medical condition, we’ll review their routine and veterinary instructions before care begins.

 

Holiday Cat Sitting in Portland

Traveling for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s or another holiday? In-home holiday cat sitting allows your cat to stay comfortably at home instead of adjusting to an unfamiliar boarding environment.

Holiday availability is limited, particularly during Thanksgiving week and Christmas through New Year’s, so advance reservations are recommended.

Cat sitting is primarily available throughout North Portland, including Hayden Island, Kenton, St. Johns, Portsmouth, Arbor Lodge, Overlook and surrounding neighborhoods. Select Portland and Southwest Washington locations may also be available by request. Additional travel fees may apply.

Before your first cat sitting reservation, we’ll meet to review feeding, litter, medications, hiding spots, favorite activities, home access and anything else that helps your cat feel comfortable while you’re away.

Your cat doesn’t have to be outgoing. They don’t even have to like me immediately. They get to set the pace.
